Final version - custom speaker adapters

u set the bar pretty high. the other great one is the lego fog light button. i still cant get over that one.

Thanks for the compliments but seriously, none of this stuff is that innovative. The adapter is something that has been done by others but typically out of wood. I just wanted something a bit stronger than wood in the limited thickness that can be used for our shallow door spaces. I also wanted it to be something I could reproduce exactly just in case I needed another set. It just turned out that having access to CAD software, the easiest way for me to do it was to actually design it in CAD and then have it machined. It definitely wasn't the cheapest route but it seems like its working out well so far.

I'm all out now but if there's enough interest, I can have another set run. I have to order them in sets of 10 pairs so I would want to get at least a few interested parties before I put in an order.

I just received my adaptors. They are beautifully made as the posted pictures show. To my complete surprise, also included in the box were the special mounting fasteners referred to in the thread and 7 pages of detailed installation instructions.

I finally opened the box containing the 2 sets of adapters you sent me....since I finally got Technic's harness and ordered a JBL XD600/6 amp.

As the guy said above, I was surprised to find everything packaged so well with fastners/screws AND some nice detailed instructions. Thanks again!

Now I have to find some speakers that fit. Can't wait!

You definitely better check with him before you plan on using the spacers - I bought the very last (2) pairs of adapters he had last month. At that time, he stated he probably wasn't going to be making any more...

I don't have access to the 3D CAD models. I only worked on drawing up the 2D protypes but the finalized 2D and 3D CAD models were done by the fabricator. The drawings I have aren't even close to what the final version came out to be.

Hello I'd like to order a pair for the front doors of my bmw e90 325i 06, this seems to be a convenient way to mount aftermarket speakers correct?

Also im from alberta, so let me know shipping (express is possible)
