Should I paint my Eisenmann Race mufflers black?
My Eisenmann Race should be here in the next few weeks, and I'm wondering whether I should paint the mufflers black w/ heat resistant paint? They're obviously not as ugly as the stock muffler, but I'm thinking it would still clean up the back end a bit more.

you can paint muffler black using VHT Fireproof spray coating (Matte Black) that is specifically made for exhaust temperatures. That is what I will be using- as the stock muffler is ugly as hell..can't believe BMW did not do anything about it!!!!. The quad tips will of course remain chrome but the muffler should be hidden. You can pick up a spray can at an auto store ...it is heat resistant to 1500F....

it would be interesting if Eisenmann looked into offering a flat black coating option on their tips for a more aggressive/race look......i mean they offer those CF tips, so why not?
