ESS VT2 supercharger install?

Well I'm ready to go supercharged after seeing all these videos and reviews about the ESS supercharged M3, I am currently looking at the 600 kit as I want the intercooler. My question is; Is it worth the extra $4500 to get the 650 kit? Is the kit a straight bolt on and tune? I am pretty handy and have installed all my parts myself, is there any reputable shops in CT that has knowledge and hands-on experience with the ESS kits? At this point I'm looking at 640 to 650 hp at the crank with the supercharger and my current mods; which I think is pretty good, I was going to trade the M3 in for a 997turbo but opted to go supercharged.

As far as the install goes, all the kits should be about the same.

It all depends on you I'd say. Are you planning on tracking or 1/4 miles? If the latter then maybe the 650 would be a better bet but for the track 600 will be just as good as the 650. Also, are you going to run meth? Maybe use that difference in $$ for that if you haven't thought about it before. Horses are horses but you will want to check out real world comparisons and the difference in 60-130 times etc.. If it's all show and $$ isn't an issue then heck go with the 650 for personal satisfaction.

You will also be wanting to add an x-pipe to your setup. HFC or catless is fine and your tune will have to be updated. Like TECH said, installation should be the same.

I just got a smoking deal on the ESS VT2-625 kit from Omar at Velos! Shoot him a PM and I'm sure he can answer any of your questions. For me, the 625 kit was the best price / performance balance that I was looking for.

Not planning on running meth nor quarter mile, Just looking for added street power 60 and up . Best bang for the buck. I know 600hp is a lot for the m3 but my thoughts are the 600 kit will Be better suited for the manual. Just my thoughts. Not looking for an over powered undrivable vehicle.

I spoke to Zim and Izzy in regards to the 650 kit, I have not had an opportunity to ride in their vehicles due to the weather when we met last, I know these guys are putting down major hp to their M3. I'm not looking to be the fastest but need some more power. And like they always say power is addicting but for now I feel the 600 is ideal.

Maybe you can do the 600kit and it's rare you pull over 130 anyway so think of weight reduction... That's a possibility I guess.. But more power is always fun
