Opinions on Nitto NT05s?
Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone is running the new Nitto NT05s? I am considering these for the M3. I run NT01s on my track car and they are a great tire for the price, and was wondering what peoples opinions were on these both on the street and track. |

These are not as sticky as hoosiers, but stickier than PSC. They also last fairly long. Basically the same tire as the Toyo R888, so above average R-Comp dry grip, great turn in, and better feel than any other tire I have tried. Although not as sticky as the hoosier they are more comunicative. They were about .2-.4 sec slower than the hoosier I think, but hard to say as I didn't test them on the same day. The non-shaved tires are good for nearly 300 laps, but this was in a 2400lb car. I had them on my R32 GTR as well and were good for only 200 laps so that is the life I would expect in the M3. |
