No sympathy. I spend 1600 per month on child support for 1 child and still spent:

2k on 1m bumper:

1200 on electronic steering wheel;

950 for used exhaust and DP's

370 on P3 gauge;

7500 on charger;

1200 on headlights;

2500 on wheels;

1050 on CSL trunk with paint;

1k on LCI navi

700 on paint correction.

I'm sure I missed some stuff.

That's about the norm, nothing special about that price. I paid even less than that.

$63.00 on a K&N filter.

Really it's maintenance since I needed a new filter... but it's non OEM so I'll consider it a mod.

This car is excellent bone stock.

Also getting an itch to mod the E36, but that's relatively cheap compared to the E9x mods
I traveled quite a bit last year to get seat time on some new tracks in anticipation of heading to Nationals this year. Plus I ponied up for radios ($1K), a new diff ($2K), StopTechs front/rear ($4K), a third set of wheels ($1K). So yes, parts are significantly cheaper... but they still add up! On track for another banner year as Nationals calls for many many sets of tires and spares - and I'm rebuilding an S52 to drop in shortly after the season starts.

about ~$2K here, but considering I bought the car in November probably pretty high.

For those reading and thinking of taking up this bad habit, once the mod bug bites its an addiction. I just hope my car holds up long enough to get my moneys worth out of these mods. Its an investment in fun for a while so try to think of the cost spread over the time you plan to own the car and not what you are sinking into it up front. You don't likely get the money back when you sell so do it for you if its important, and otherwise save the cash and spend it on gas and tires.
No kidding. I am a moddict. I confess. Have spent well over $100k in mods in my lifetime.

~25K since 2011, only about $175 last year though. I got it out of my system up front. Enjoying the beauty of mostly stock lately.

Absolutely zero $dinero! With the gas price going back up and for maintenances, you're gonna need that mod money for it anyways.

I track my cocaine and stripper spending down to the dollar but I just realized I don't keep track of spending on my M3.

On my E92, I spent about $400 on parts and labor.

On my E30, I spent about $5k on parts and $7k on labor.

The E30 is nearly complete, but I assume the trend will continue...

I'm about about $6k on the M3. Bought it in October, put it away for storage in November.

I did spend about $15k on my TT in 2014, though. Ugh

I've had my M3 since August and put close to 4k in it, that's not too bad considering some of the other posts.
