Maserati gran turismo

I'm driving on route 1 in NJ today, just north of Princeton and I happen upon a gran turismo. The car sounds awesome and the guy is kind of goading me. He is in front of me and keeps revving engine and then punching the accelerator. He could not pull on me at all and I pull up next to him at light. He says, "that thing is really fast." I replied, yeah and I didn't even need driving gloves to make it do that. (yes the tool was wearing them)

Gorgeous car, great sound, but not that quick

Probably coming from the dealer on Route 1 - Central Jersey Ferrari/Maserati. They're slow but damn, are they gorgeous. Exhaust is intoxicating. My best friend has the convertible. Sweet spot is 3,200 RPMs where the exhaust howls.

yup, those cars are more show than go.

a Maserati in my area tried to cut me off in a passing lane. I just downshifted and pulled past him. He got upset that I got ahead of him.

I've got the coupe, and it's just a different beast altogether. I wouldn't call it slow, especially if all you are doing is gunning it from a dead stop. The thing launches.

I agree, the exhaust is one of the best parts

The GT or even GTS isnt that fast, pretty sluggish and doesnt match the sporty look of it.

at least he complimented you on the M3. The Maser GT is sexy car and sounds fantastic, but that's about it.

Maserati MC Stradale...drool worthy, but I still woudn't pay that much for it...

the car is all hat, no cattle. not a great feeling when you driving a 150k car and a mustang GT can walk you.

I saw one today while at lunch with a coworker driven by a stunning brunette an her less than stunning brunette friend riding shotgun. What a sight (I could ignore the friend) and sound. This was in Fresno btw, so pretty rare in these parts (both the car and the stunning brunette).

The m3 definatley has way more pull from a rolling start than my V8 R8 did. The maserati is even slower than the R8. But damn do I love the looks of the GT and that interior....

Shame the performance on a Maser does not live up to its looks and price.

Seems like it's similar to a Vantage. Beautiful car but just not that quick... (the v8 anyhow, and even the v12 isnt amazingly fast) Exhaust note is just unbelievable though

Love the Maserati's but love M3's just a little bit more
