Facebook News Ticker

Anyone know how to disable it?

I don't care if I see it, it's just a PITA that it shows other people what I'm doing...

Every google search I did says it's not possible..

Payment upfront:

Right

But I saw something similar to that in my searching

However, if I am understanding it correctly, it removes the ticker from my FB, but that doesn't mean what I do isn't still reported on other people's FBs.
Make sense?

Meaning I can't see the ticker/can't see what people are doing, but they can see me/see what i'm doing

I mainly want to stop MY actions from appearing in the ticker....

You'd have to block everyone from viewing your activity. There used to be a permission for that in the privacy settings, but FB has bastardized their security since then.

How do I do that?

I've spent quite some time in the privacy and security settings and can't get rid of the info in the ticker

Don't allow your activity to be posted to your wall. That's how you stop it from appearing in the ticker.

I dont have a wall and never have had one

It's like it I post on your FB status update, my friend who doesn't know you would see it.

And that's a pain...

I'd like to know if this is possible as well. If I want my sh!t kept private, I want it private, why should everyone on my list see who I'm responding to, what I liked, etc....

I saw a lot of people request that I edit settings so I cannot see what they have posted on the ticker, I thought about and was like

If your activity is hidden and you removed your wall, nothing should show up.

From my research, it's impossible to prevent your stuff from being on the news ticker

only way to turn it off is if your friends set their settings so they can't see your stuff..
