Wheel brushes

Looking for a recommendation for good wheel brushes to clean the 19 inch forged wheels. Is Mothers products OK?

Thanks.

Just use a microfiber mitt and do it by hand. Takes a little longer but doesn't miss anything.

I have that Daytona brush, it sucks. No substitute for getting your hands in there with a mitt on.

Daytona brush is okay, if you wash often. Need some more direct agitation for most good cleanings.

for those that say the daytona suck, your supposed to use it only for the inside of the wheel which is a PITA to do with a mitt and your hand, especially behind the callipers. The front of the wheels should be done with a boar's hair brush.

by the way if your have a good wheel cleaner, you won't need that much agitation, you just have to clean on a regular basis

Maybe I have small hands but I can do the entire barrel with my mitt without trying hard.

And wheel cleaners, even good ones, are more harsh than regular wash soap. Why risk the finish just to be lazy?

More than you asked for but....

-Use a good gentle wheel specific cleaner. I like the price to performance ratio of Chemical Guys.
-Spray on, hose off, don't brush
-Follow up with a wash using regular soap of your choice and brushes.
-I use Daytona for the barrel (works really well) and a soft "split ends" plastic fiber brush for the face/spokes.
-If you are really picky about dust in the lug bolt holes you can get a 3rd special shaped brush for that

More discussion and the place where Daytona brush was recommended to me here.

I use the mother's brush and its fine but I still follow up with a wash mitt. I also just use a small sponge and stick my hand in there for the inner barrel and brake calipers.
