Intermittent CEL Light; Thoughts?

My CEL light is going on and off intermittently and wanted to get the forum's thoughts.

When on it is only for increased emissions; no noticable change in car performance. Ran a check and the warning is for P0106- MAP Sensor; it is sensing values outside of its predetermined, normal range. The funny thing is it only comes on after a full tank of gas or when the tank is 1/4 full; otherwise it is off.

Any thoughts? Could the fact it comes on only when the tank is full or almost empty indicate some sort of contaminant in the gas tank? Again, there is no change at all in the performance of the car when the light is on and the light is not on very long (thank you low mpg

).

Replace the MAP sensor if it is throwing faults for that.
