Can someone tell me what is BMW App.(a $300 option) can do?

Basically enables applications via your iphone ex: having facebook in your in dash screen. I don't know what the other apps are though.

Thank you. This may be a dump question but is that mean the smart phone must have the data plan (3G on line) in order to use the facebook for example?
