Sorry to see and hear your going through this. Soon people will realize to stop purchasing over priced wheels with poor manufacturing quality. i am willing to bet 8 of 10 customer's take there wheels apart it will be the same way. Ask your self this question. Jordan say's, they drill an extra 40 holes for weight reduction. If you drilled an extra 40 holes for weight reduction, why are the hole threaded?
Maybe because you did not line the center disc correct in the cnc machine and when they went to build the wheel the holes didn't line up, so they had to replace the disc back into the cnc machine and redrill the correct fitment to line up the inner's and outter's. If you wanted weight reduction why wasn't the back pad near the pcd bored out like the picture below? It's one thing after another. Last edited by nowaym3; 07-12-2012 at 04:44 PM.. |

FiftyFive has no affiliation with ADV.1. I know who they are and trust me they are a different company.
I've also forwarded this thread to Jordan @ ADV.1 so he can discuss his side of the story. Not taking any sides, just being fair and letting both sides tell their story. |

They did this to try to remove the vibration. They rotated the face relative to the barrel to attempt to balance the wheel.

The power of marketing prevails! Burn a bunch of people, fly out the door and let the new owner extinguish the flames, re open under another name and hit the marketing full throttle and viola! BTW no disrespect to the OP.
It amazes me how ignorant people can be to the previous history of both jordan and miguel and not only buy his product but buy it at a super inflated price LOL. I seen a set of these locally on craigslist being sold used for close to the price of some of the other brands new. I took a trip down to the tire shop selling them and what I saw was not impressive at all. The wheels where as heavy as anchors, the inner barrels where not even coated / finished in any way and the hardware inside was rusted. I hate for my first post to be a bash against them but as a long time lurker of this forum I feel this community is tight and would hate to see anyone further get burned. |

Just noticed this winning reply
"The 80 hole drill process on the assembly flange is used often times for weight reduction / valve stem hole alignment should the rotation of the center disc be slightly off from the pre-drilled hole on the lip." So does threading these extra holes also help in weight reduction LOL. It was clearly a mess up and you would think that at the price they where sold they would scrap that one wheel and make them right. Just shows the greed for money! |

glad you found the problem. It is scary to think that you are driving your loved one on wheels with bolt holes so close together. This wheel company is a joke. Great marketing campaign and charging ppls thousand for crappy wheels

I love how ADV1 has seen this thread yet has done NOTHING at all. Nor did they even back up their false TUV claims from months ago. Its such a scam its hilarious. Any reputable company or any PERSON with any sort of integrity would have come forth and explain himself, but these "Miami ballers".... lol "fuck ur wheel"? i think more like "fuck the customer".

I believe the bloody adv1 dealers are just as guilty as they are knowing his criminal past and yet still representing the product. I would not do business with anyone whom sells the adv1 brand.

Looks like we got another sequel to a hot wheel topic just in time for summer!
It's also something the Better Business Bureau should look into.

1. You put 21" wheels on your car? There's problem #1 IMO. AND in a multi piece?! Your car's already heavy dude... Yikes!
2. This is why if you're going to drop a humongous amount of cash on wheels, just go with what has been working since the dawn of mankind - Volk. (ok you can probably get away with BBS, Work, Forgeline, HRE, etc. as well) 3. This is why at the end of the day I'm sticking with my OEM lightweight forged one-piece concave wheels. Now I don't know what came stock on your Audi but I'm pretty damn sure they were better than those! |

More I hear about his company, more disgusted I am. Can someone who's more familiar with this company tell us more about what happened in the past? Sounds like these guys are repeat offenders. If these guys are what they seem like, they shouldn't be in business let alone be supported by the forum.
