Compressed springs?

So i want to go a little lower with my car but nothing too crazy bc im already lowered on H&R springs and just browsing I cam across this....e92 with "compressed springs"

Go for it if you don't mind driving around on the bump stops with no suspension travel.

Personally I would go with a coilover setup if you want to go lower. It will ride better than the H&R springs even non-compressed.

That member compressed his springs before any coilover options came out for the m3. He later switched to KW's. Some used to compress or cut their springs to lower their car a little more. Cutting the springs can mess with their spring rates. Compressing springs requires heating them, which weakens the spring, and could cause sagging. Just do it the right way and stick to springs or coilovers. If you're purely looking to just lower the car, you can find a used coilover for a little more and have that piece of mind. Or check out Megans; they're not the highest quality coilovers, but if you just want to lower your car, its an option; or a sleeve kit such as from GC or KW.
