17-Mile Drive......Anyone?
Hey folks, I'm fairly new to this community so I don't know many of you here. My friends, who are also enthusiasts, and I might be planning a Sunday morning drive along the "17-Mile Drive." I have not been to this location before but I have heard that it's a blast to drive there. I've never held events like this in this in this board but if anyone is interested, please let me know. It's also a good chance for me to meet some fellow enthusiasts here in the Bay Area.

There are so many great roads around the Monterey peninsula, you can use 17 mile drive as a break from everything else. If you've got a wad of cash to burn while you're in Pebble Beach, you can stop at Roys for something to eat.

Hmmmm, I don't plan on driving 15mph hahaha. After seeing the road, I had the impression that it was meant for "spirited driving." Maybe start early so we don't catch any traffic.

this is a slow drive road to enjoy the scenary. there are other great drivers roads in monterey county. as said before, you can use 17 mile drive as a nice cruise rather than a spirited drive.

Yeah took a drive on this road while I was breaking in the M. It's a nice drive with great views but if your thinking of driving aggressively then this isn't the road for you.

Hmmm, I guess this isn't the road for me. Can any of you suggest any stretch of road that can offer the best of both worlds? Scenic and twisty with no traffic/cops? I've been in the San Jose area for about a year so I don't know many good roads. I've been to skyline but there's always traffic there. Highway 9 is nice but the views aren't that spectacular.
