Welt ED Delivery E92 AW/cloth
Started with a tour of the M design studio (north of Munich) to try and convince them to sell me a GTS (no luck for the Americans). They had one there though prepped for delivery to a DE client. What a car! I even would have settled for the BBK that they install on it, but no luck . Still was worth the time and got to see lots of the new M5 mules as well. That is going to be a great looking car. BMW museum was great and all in all a full day of BMW's
Picked up my track car on Friday (spent Saturday with friends) and spent Sunday on the Autobahn (200 miles from Stuttgart to Nurburgring in just over 2 hours and at Nurburgring....what a great trip.. Highly recommend to all. Rained on Saturday so I went to the Porsche museum in Stuttgart. Well worth it and the 918 spyder in person is unbelievable. I'll have to attach pics later (sorry). |

Cripes every time I stop in to European I hear about your newest purchase, didn't know about this one but I heard you'd went through about 5 cars since I left. I'll have to check it out sometime, that is if you own it long enough. Are you having Doug do anything to this one? Hope all is well

Spectacularly beautiful car! Maybe I should know this, but how did you order the cloth interior (I don't see that as an option on the BMWUSA website)?

A bit of a thread jack. Can you get cloth and power? Assuming you pay for power, but forgo the leather and still request cloth. (I need to reorder my car!)

Cloth has always been the standard option for the seating in M3's. There is several members on here that have posted interior pictures. I prefer is over the crap leather BMW puts in their cars.

As per the cloth... see the link in my sig. I have the 2011 cloth/leather setup. Love it! I don't believe you can get cloth and power for 2011.5/2012 models. I was a lucky one

I know aren't the iPhone pics terrible? Carrying around a separate camera is too much of a PITA for me, plus I would lose it for sure the first or second time I left the house with it....
