Stolen e92 m3 19" oems

I had just purchased and had delivered a set of oem e92 19" oem wheels from a member on this site. I had them in my storage locker in my apartment in Vancouver for all of 6 days before they were stolen. They had to have secure fob access to the building.

Anyway, not sure what this is going to do, but the seller had emailed me a few pictures which though didn't show serial numbers, they did have the manufacturing date and well another number that looks like a serial number.

Anyway, if someone tries to sell you these wheels, you'll do whatever you end up doing, but know that they jacked them from me. Bastards!

Don't trust anyone is rule number one. Everyone is out for themselves no matter what.

We're they in a locker in your building? Next time bring them into your actual unit and make a kitchen table out of them!!!

They were in a storage locker in a key fob controlled room in side my own building. I only was storing them temporarily until I mounted tires on them, probably this week. It just burns...

Either it's some asshat who lives in the building who goes through storage lockers periodically, or it's one of the two people who saw me carry a box (one of 4) to the storage locker.

The plot thickened a little, I asked the security company to give me a log of the fobs and names that accessed this storage locker during the 6 days. I'm waiting for them to provide me this info, but they confirmed that it is a resident i.e. not maintenance.

JAYPOD -so that is why you kept your wheels in the basement.

Sorry for your loss but don't let one bad apple spoil the bunch. One idiot's brain fart doesn't mean we are all idiots.

Cameras are sadly what is missing in most of the bldg. Only at parking gate entrance and lobby... weak. I'll be bitching at the next AGM in getting some proper surveillance to try to dissuade the sneaky punks. What sucks is knowing that the thief is one of your neighbours. I'm gonna look all stink eyed at everyone now.

By the way, thanks guys for sympathizing.

damn... this really sucks... it might be possible to claim the wheels through home owner's issurance. its too bad you didnt even get a chance to mount the wheels yet. i know how you feel because i had my car broken into 4 days after i bought a gps device... they stole it before i even got a chance to use it.

the locker is accessible by a fob (available only to two groups: 1 - residents of the building 2- the security company).

The plot has thickened. I got the fob access log from the security company. There were 27 instances of entrance during the 6 days that the wheels were in the locker (in boxes mind you and the boxes covered with a drape of sorts). Of the 27 instances, there were 5 unique resident entrances, One me, two others whom I know very well, and two more that I barely know. Now, those entries were all during the day or early evening. The security company however, had accessed multiple times, mostly between 2 - 3am. But on one particular night, they had accessed once at 8pm, then at 2am, then at 4:30am. What gives.

I've discussed with strata and security company rep and the sec co. is going to do a bit of investigation. I don't expect anything out of this. Just really am upset about the perfect set of 19" oems that I had bought off of a great forum member here.

Oh and just to make things more interesting, get this:

They never picked lock, once inside the locker room (with a fob), there are individual wooden lockers. The thief had simply unscrewed the hinges to my locker door and opened the door the other way. Stole the wheels out of the boxes. Left the boxes just the way I had left them, and even managed so sorta cover the boxes with the drape.

WTF is wrong with some people?!?

That sucks, but I suspect those cage lockers that we get here might be better..no hinges to unscrew..not to mention who puts hinges on the outside?

Hope you find the croooks, at least.

If this would have happened to me, I would be in jail now for beating the crap out of the management if they would not have paid for my loss or I would stop paying for maintenance fees until the sum covers it. You pay for a secure storage right ?

One thing for sure... keep your eyes on craigslist, BMW forum...., on the road.

I am so sorry for your loss..... I hate thieves.... every thief should have a finger or their hands cut off depending on the nature of their crime.

It's a shitty situation no doubt. The storage is in my building. I think VERY likely it was the security company itself. I chased it down as far as I could - spoke with the security company manager, reviewed the entry logs to the storage area - but after all of it, it wasn't enough to be able to prove who had done it.

I could have raised a bigger stink, I tried but at the end of it I realized that I can't win this one. Best to just watch your shit... and think it over and over and over before you trust someone...

oh and Vancouver hasn't been a safe city in a looong time. Property theft is just ridiculous here.
