Need to Install M Performance Exhaust.. NOW!

Hey Guys,

I went to South Motors to install my exhaust. They didnt have me in the books for an appointment (someone messed up) and then they told me it would take a day because it requires cutting and welding. No go.

I made time to get this installed today. Can anyone / any shops do this today?

no cutting or welding is required. if you have ramp, its pretty straight foward 40-60 minute job. or go to any muffler store to get them installed. you should be charged about an hour of labor.

^I thought you did have the cut the stock exhaust as the performance exhaust does not have connecting pipes attached?

Either way, its def a simple enough job any exhaust shop could easily do. Even a Midas or chain store should have no problem simply cutting and welding the muffler.

thanks for the replies. No, no cutting or welding required. That's why I ran away from South Motors once he told me that. If I had a lift, I would do it myself.

Bad news though.. I went to a shop to get it done (for 80 bucks) and it turns out I have the SAME two pipes. Couldnt install it. FML.

Dont understand why South Motors were saying that they need to do cutting and welding. When I had my Performance exhaust I had it installed there without any problems

who did you talk to? The service manager, although nice, seemed to be clueless.

Agreed. If you have the connecting pipes OP then everything will bolt right up with no cutting required. Shouldn't take more than 30 min or so to do the job.

you don't need to do any cutting or welding with the performance exhaust, it is bolt-on installation

Just come by to Active Autowerke on Monday. Ask for Ivan or Viral. We'll get it done, and won't give you a hard time.

Will do, but not Monday. Im waiting on a replacement connecting pipe, since the ones I have are duplicates rather than opposites.
