Need a new phone...

Alright, so heres the deal. I've got an Alias with verizon (the original one) and its on its last leg doing the restart shit. So I'm on a plan with with parents.

My contract and my mothers contracts up. My dad got a new phone in Feb.

Our plans 129 for the three of us, and if we drop it its 79 for my dad so its only a small savings- But if my dad terminates his contract and goes to a different carrier with us, its a 160 dollar fee.

I'm the only one with texting- I think I pay something like 30 a month for just that (ripoff).

I'm tired of Verizons shitty phones. All the non smartphones they have are ugly and big at the moment, and AT&T isn't much better- And I hate the blackberry layout. I kind of like the smartphones, but I don't really GAF about intranetz and Im not going to pay 30 bucks a month base fee... I don't even really like their android functionality either....

I really like the iPhone, but the plan prices for family plans are literally the exact same. Lame. And the iPhone comes with the same 30 bucks a month date plan garbage. I asked what I get with the data plan for 30 bucks a month... and they basically told me nothing. Then I'd have to add 20 bucks for texting, and thats without internet! WTF.

I hate tMobile because for some reason in California their reception cuts out basically everywhere. Sprint is just as bad. [ well i like the evo]

So.... I ask you.... What should I do!

DROID by Motorola. Got one the other day and I love it. You can also get a family texting plan for $20 a month. It's unlimited texting for everyone on the plan. That's what I use.

I'm a little confused and cant get solid info- Is the iphone 4g going to be or not going to be released for verizon next month?

That $30 fee includes unlimited data, which is internet, e-mail, etc.
