Quietest tires for sliding

I'm looking for tires that do not make too much noise as they break traction with equal or less grip than OEM PS2 to put on one of my extra sets of wheels.

I have the Pilot Super Sports, and they're actually pretty quiet when they slide or spin, but they have a lot more grip than OEM PS2's. They also cause the car to exihbit more body roll due to the additional grip, and they only break traction at higher speed and with more throttle. So, this rules out R-compound rubber which doesn't make much noise when it slips.

Performance all seasons or non-max performance summer tires are all ok long as they are relatively quiet as they break traction. Good steering response and road manners are a plus.

Is this for school zones or nursing home parking lots? Different ages hear different tires differently, you need to be more specific.

Driving on closed circuits. Don't want to drown out the sound of the stock exhaust...

In that case, just get a set of whatever's cheapest shaved down to about 1/32" of tread depth, the noise all comes from the tread blocks anyway

Exclamation

Or reduce the width of an R-compound, for example:
185 F
205 R

LOL, good suggestion. 205 square. Now I have to find some 18x6.5's with a negative offset with a load rating high enough for the M3.
