Price check on my 2011.5 sedan?

I have been toying with the idea of selling my E90 this spring and getting into something newer, but I'm still struggling to gauge the prices on these cars.

The highlights:
-2011.5 (Oct 2010 build date)
-68k miles
-second owner, non-smoker
-all options except headlamp washers & extended leather
-ZCP, DCT, nav, Individual Audio, heated seats, etc
-Alpine White, black interior, carbon leather trim
-up to date on all maintenance with all service records
-all required maintenance done at dealership, some additional maintenance done at indie shops (DCT fluid, intermediate oil changes, etc)
-oil analysis reports available since I bought it (engine oil, DCT, rear diff)
-only issue was a bad FRM, replaced under warranty
-2016 maps & 241E software
-brand new tires (4k miles)
-no accidents
-cosmetically is 9.5/10 inside and out
-only "mods" are tinted windows, black kidneys/side vents, Bavsound Ghost subs

It has a StopTech ST40 kit on the front but I would remove that and put the stock brakes on. I could remove the Bavsound subs and black kidneys/vents, if necessary.

Any thoughts on what I could get for it? I figure it should be fairly desirable seeing as how it is an "unmolested" ZCP sedan that was taken care of.

I'd expect to get 32k-36k depending on how long you're willing to hold out for the top end of that price range and how the market plays out whenever you do choose to list it (seems like a buyer's market right now for the E9X M3's, as there are a ton available at the moment). I'd list any major items that it's had serviced/replaced, ie throttle actuators, rod bearings, ICV, etc., as I'd imagine it would encourage the sale substantially.

I would list the car in the high 30s (39,500) and be rather firm on pricing unless you're in a hurry to sell. I'd wait until Spring also. Is this a slicktop?

It hasn't had any of those things done. Like I wrote above, the only thing that's ever "broken" has been the FRM module and it was a warranty replacement.

No, it has a sunroof. It's in winter storage right now anyway so the earliest I would even take a hard look at selling would be April.

Not seeing a glut of sedans; coupes are very common.

There's a growing premium on sedans.
High $30s to start.

Looks pretty good. Probably $37k is sweet spot. Thinking you could get a couple grand more if mileage was under 50k.

Hmmmm, the Midwest is not a RWD high-performance car friendly place. At close to 70K miles, I think you're looking at $32-35K tops.

I watched my '13 E92 M3 with 25K miles fall from $49,995 > $45,995 > $42,995 > $38,995 over the course of 9 months! There was nothing wrong with it other than it was a RWD high-perf car in Iowa - I got it for $38,500.

Good luck with the sale!

It's sitting at $37k right now and isn't getting a ton of bites (some looky-loos and obvious scammers, lol). Is this going to be the long game, or is the market really that depressed?

Closely following your sale as my car is similar (e90 ZCP, OEM and clean) in the same geographic market.

I can't imagine it selling below $34k, and I think you have it listed appropriately with the starting price. The long game may work out for you if you are trying to get $36,500 - $37,000. It just depends on how quickly you want to get rid of it.

There is a demand for well sorted, well documented, looked after E90 M3s.

Buyers will tell you how little value there is in the car, but they are rare unbelievably good cars, and the last of the real M cars(imo). Keep in mind the price of a new M3!

You have to be patient, if you want to sell.

32k-36k is the sweet spot for that car.
Maintenance as others mention do add value. Rod bearings, actuators etc.
Those alone is what sets others apart from your car. Mods do very little to value but they do make one car more appealing for purchase to car guys/girls unless they want an unmolested vehicle.

Looking at the market for my 2008..sedan would go from 22-25k.... but all the major fault items have been fixed so a 25-26k value isn't far off to a educated m3 buyer.

Good luck with the sale!!

I set the price to $36,000. Hopefully, that spurs a bit more interest.
