I wouldn't call those individual options. Both the CSL and GTR are VERY unique cars. Same for the E92 M3 GTS.

Wow, surprised at the results. I voted for the E30, as it's the one that brought M to the masses and displayed what a strong team of engineers and enthusiasts can do to an "ordinary" sedan/coupe chassis.

Curious to see how many people chose e46 solely because of the CSL and how many picked e92 solely because of the GTS/GT4.

The "honestly cannot decide" option is fail. Just pick one and live with it. That's 5 votes wasted of which I'm sure all of would have gone to the E30 M3

i didnt say they are individual options, but i will not make a poll that has 100 choices. it is stupid. if you want to vote for csl then cast a vote for e46. thats the chassis.

Just edit the poll to include those in the chassis descriptions. Therefore, you're not adding more choices.

The majority probably voted for E9x because they simply haven't driven or seen some of the other ones when they were out. It's like me, I think the E30 M3 is awesome, but I haven't driven one to support my vote. Same goes for the CSL which I've only heard from youtube videos. Might I add the sound took my heart.

What's pure speed have to do with anything? It's just a factor. No E30 M3 is going to put you back in your seat like you are used to. However, the balance and cornering should amaze you. And the fact it's a 4-banger is really impressive.

Nothing at all. In fact I voted for the E30. I was just stating that the majority who fell in love with the e9x don't realize how different it is from an e30, which is why I think most of the votes are for the e46 and e90.

Anyway, that's my .2. I had such a difficult time between the E30 M3 and the Batmobile. God, what a brilliant car that was, too!
This coming from a guy who has had 2 mazda's and a ford? Ya you definetly are the one to ask about opinions on great cars of the past

Well of course they are unique but if someone likes the csl than would that person not like the e46 m3 in general. Because it was 300 pounds lighter and had 13 more hp it makes it stand out that much more from a regular m3 that it would change his voting outcome? not likely and if it did than its ridiculous. Each of the models are different in a major way enough that if 300 pounds and a few hp and size of brakes made that much difference to a person than there is no way they could distinguish between anything in the world

Why didn't you compare the (E46) GTR in your example vs. the normal E46 M3? Changes things a bit doesn't it?
