Running 450 front and 550 rear. Step up to 500/600 or even 550/600 if you are heavier. Leave the fine tuning to the shock valving

Nitron recommend to go softer in the rear

Depends on what your set up is. Street or track. I have spring to suit more of a track oriented build. For street I would do 450-500 rear. I try and stick to a 50lb difference between front and rear. But that's my personal opinion

Unless you corner weigh your car and calculate the proper spring rates for your purpose, it's all a guessing game.

My car would be similar to stock weight extra weight in the front with the blower but it's only about 20lbs I looked into it.

Not really sure why you would go more spring in the rear it's only there to hold the weight of the car and the shock does the work also think it would cost
Make the rear oversteer easier

More spring in the rear offsets the fact that the motion ratio is different than the front. While the front achieves an almost 100% spring rate usage, the rear in stock configuration is a about half, while coilover is about 70-80% IIRC. Plus you also want a 10% rear stiffer rate to offset bump transfer from the front.

Interesting. I'd love to pick their brains about that. All the info I read points to this way of setting up suspension. :/

Ok so interesting find on an E46 CSL set up by Nitron in EU. The owner was provided 800lb front springs (which I also originally ran in my setup but found them super harsh) and the rears (true coilover) spring rate was 530 (I'm currently running 550 with true coilover). I might throw my front 800 back in and see how it feels, have a track day on May 19 and might as well.

Yeah may aswell have a play around! How much do they charge just for the springs?

Springs are cheap, they use 60mm ID and they are made by Eibach Germany with the nitron blue color sprayed on. The helper springs are 2.25mm not the traditional 2.5mm, ask me how I know lol.

Springs are $80 a piece plus shipping from U.K. If you can't find the same rates by Eibach USA.
