Performance Center Delivery cost?

I apologize for the newbie question, but my weak attempt at a search didn't work to well....

Is there any cost associated with doing the Performance Center Delivery option in South Carolina? It looks like a lot of fun, and there's mention of spending a night in a hotel, a meal or two, and some track time - seems a little too good to be true for free....

I, too, have been wondering this, BMW's website offers no help and I dont like having to ask a dealership for the info...

I've yet, however, to search this site...

My old best friend and his dad did this when they ordered/purchased their `01 3 coupe, he said it was a lot of fun. And when they got back, the car was broken in...

No extra cost. the $695 "Destination Charge" covers the cost since they don't have to transport it to your dealer. Pretty cool deal. I will be doing PCD in June. :rocks:

That's awsome, I told my CA to sign me up! My car has been sitting on the dock at Bremerhaven since 5/3! If it ever gets on a ship, I might also make it to the Performance Center in early June. I hope it hurries up, I listed my current car for sale yesterday and it sold this morning - DOH! I hadn't really planned on riding my motorcycle to work for 3 or 4 weeks...

Mine is a 2006 325i White/Beige, Sport Package, Power Seats.

Mine is sitting at the port also. Waiting to get a final date for PCD. They won't give me one until they know what ship it will be on. The waiting is brutal.

I ordered 0y Z4 M Coupe, and will take delivery from Spartanburg. I cant wait to get it and get in. Its my first car with a manual, and by far the fastest car I have owned. And when it has been broken in I shall test the 0-60 on a friends G-tech to see where it places on the list of fast cars I have driven, my guess is that it will place 2nd (behind a SL600).

Hey - me too! My CA called today to confirm June 12th for PCD, and my status just switched to In Transit/In Route (on a boat) after a week on the dock. Have you figured out which ship you are on - I assume I'm on the same one. If my car shows up with an SG colored ding in the door I'll know whose car to blame!

My M3 is on the same ship.

I'll be at the PC July 7. I'm delaying so my friend from the Marines can come out and and drive too. He thinks fast cars are only about 0-60. I told him to pack a few pairs of diapers. Request Larry as an instructor. I nicknamed him Sidewinder Larry. He can really make a car stay sideways. Enjoy your trip!

No cost what so ever. They are great down there. I just picked up my 330i down there. Very personal. Also you have to ask for a "HOT LAP" they take you in an M5 around the course doing like 130mph. ITS GREAT!! Even my wife had a blast.

Golfguyjax - Looks like we're on different ships (Don Carlos for me), but will end up in the same place at the same time anyway. I'll definitely drive to the PC - should be less than 3 hours from my house even though I live on the northwest side of Atlanta. My plan right now is to rent a car to drop off, but I haven't priced that option yet...

Lucid and David - thanks for the advice on asking for a hot lap and which instructor to ask for. I can't wait. I've driven a 330i in an autocross setting when BMW did the demo event last year at Stone Mountain (Georgia), so I'm really looking forward to the PC delivery. You know your having fun when you start to feel car sick - and you're the one driving!

Should we caravan up to Deal's Gap after the delivery?
