Quality of new BMW Valve Cover finish

For those of you that are working with new VCs regularly, is this typical quality of new BMW VCs, or is this not advisable to use? I’m a bit concerned with issues of the finish since that’s why I’m changing these things out from bubbling and cracking top coating.

Thanks,

Might be dirt under the coating. But that's also an area that doesn't bubble often. The bubbling usually starts on the front end, near the oil filler hole.

I'd say these are safe to use. But if it's possible to return for replacement I would go ahead and do it.

Thanks, Redd. I did buy online from a dealer so I’ll see about how difficult an exchange/return will be.
