that's exactly how i wanted to mount my sub
do you have any pictures of the back of the sub?
from the trunk?
is the whole speaker cone within the ski hatch?
i believe when i measured it, it was 8 inches wide by 12 inches high
so a 10" sub would be cut off on either side

I would have to remove the panel at the back, and since I didnt do it myself I would prefer not to. The install was done by a local audio store. I know the sub magnet is very small and compact so as not to use up space. And yes it the whole cone is in the ski hatch.

The whole cone doesn't need to be within the opening, only about 60% needs to be unobstructed. As long as it's spaced off the seat enough so it doesn't hit you're golden. Also, a 10" sub has a 10" frame. The cone it just about 8" in diameter.
