Why doesn't TireRack carry SuperSport 285/30-19??

Found them on Costco and Micheline websites

https://www.michelinman.com/tire/mic...&zipCode=90740

https://tires.costco.com/product.asp...9-dd4dbae6d598

All this time, I thought Michelin didn't make this size.

Thanks. That's why it's so expensive.
I was all excited they made a SuperSport in this size.

Just a heads up, Michelin does now offer a 285/30/19 (98Y) MO1 tire.

Its a Mercedes AMG specific tire, but it is non-runflat. I just had a set installed on the rear of my Black Series. They were just released at the beginning of this month. I ended up ordering them through Discount Tire as Tire Rack nor my Mercedes dealer could get their hands on a set.

The part# from Michelin is MSPN 07078. Here is the PDF that lists all their offerings in PSS.

interesting, i checked with my three big vendors, Tire rack, Discount and American, all said they confirm the part number however its not available. My guy at discount even called michelin and his rep said they have to take that tire off their website. The only possibility is if its a grey market car tire and is available only overseas. you sir are a lucky guy!

Super weird. Here is my thread over on MBWorld I made regarding it with pictures.
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...s-fitment.html

Michelin's specific product listing: https://www.michelinman.com/tire/mic...&zipCode=75023

This specific part# is for the rear fitment of the 19" inch wheel option on the new W205 C63S. When I purchased my rear set Discount said Michelin didn't want to sell the tires to them as inventory was very low. Only 56 were available at the time with 200 more in production, but not sure when they would arrive. They said they had to escalate it up to their North American Michelin rep for Discount Tire Corporate in order for them to release the tires. I'd imagine things will clear up as more time progresses. It is available though, just gotta find the right person who knows how to get them lol. Also, this tire has been available overseas in Europe for awhile. But the ones I have are a legit DOT tire, has all the markings and everything.

Thats good news! 3 of the guys here at the shop need them for our own cars lol! Glad they are at least ramping up production. I am assuming because we are on the wholesale side they don't wanna put an order through since it can raise some flags at this time. Good find though!

I've run 3 sets of these in fun flat. What they also don't tell you is the tread is significantly lower in RF than a regular set! Bastards! I'm going 305 20s in ps4.

Such an informative thread... I had to settle for PZero because 275/30/19 and 285/30/19 is a very rare combo.

Facts they manufactured a 285/30/19 PS2 for the longest time... its just an odd size and yes they mostly sell the 285/30/19 runflat... however I don't know how smart it is to run with regular.

Honestly for the almost 400$ a tire 285/30/19 MO1 MPSS I seriously would just go 295/30/19 PS4S. Better overall.

Depends on rim size. 295 is too big and sloppy for a 10. 285 is max. I ran 295's on a 10 on a prior 911 and it was a turd with sloppiness. I hated it.

It also depends greatly on the tire and sidewall/carcass construction. I've run 275/35-18 BFG Rivals on 8.5"/9.5" wheels, and they're pinched in pretty good on the 8.5s (this is for F-street stock class SCCA autocross). The TRA spec for the 275/35 is 9-11" wheel. I was amazed at how responsive they were, and edge wear was actually much improved not to mention braking and cornering grip (compared to a 245/40-18 Rival which I also ran). Of course the BFG Rival has an extremely stiff sidewall and carcass. For general street use, I wouldn't bother with such a setup, but it works great on course.
