They just charged this dude yesterday - will be very interesting to see if they can get a conviction.

It's been posted on countless forums including bimmers.

The dude's been charged and now waiting for court appearance.

this almost happened to me once, an escalade just kept backing up even when i honked he clearly saw me in his mirror and kept going

Similar thing happened to me in US. A girl spun out in a garage and hit my parked car, while I was getting in the car. I called police - the girl said it was her fault to the cops, they took down the report, but after we all left she somehow changed her statement. The police believed her. I ended up having to pay for my own repairs and getting a ticket for careless driving... Probably could have had the video from security cam to prove my case, but dropped the ball on that because I had finals at business school at the time. A good lesson - even if everything seems fine, these things can still turn ugly.

Yeap...know this is old news...

But it did get me thinking about getting a car cam now.
The only thing is...i have yet to see one with external audio recording.

As someone said, even though this guy has a recorded video...but its still he said she said kind of thing when there are no audio to confirm the conversation.

He got charged not for the actual incident, but for trying to scam his insurance company over it.

I think that proves he's guilty.

LoL...deserves it. I guess GoPro cams r great for track and traffic now. :S

Have u guys heard about the news about how u stop at a stop sign, van full of people got to the all-way stop before u but let u go 1st and they gas @ ur car when ur in the middle of the intersection and the cop will ask you who got there 1st? ya....those were scams too, van full of 7-8 jobless people eating off of the insurance company. It's sad how Canada turned into these low class scam country. They should make it a 10yr jail sentence, then there wont be so many of these disgusting scams.
