Wash State window tinting law change?

I talked to a guy at Accutint today in Bellevue and he said as of July 1st, 2009, the new maximum Wash St law for window tinting % has been lowered to 24% (it was 35%). Can anyone confirm this is accurate?

Good news for those that would like a little darker tint but still be "legal". I know many of you don't care about that...but some of us would rather not give the local authorities another reason to pull us over. ;-) However, I hear that there really aren't any tinting film manufacturers producing 24% film right now. Who knows if and when they might start making this "special" tint for Wash st drivers...

Well, had I known this I would have gone a little darker. 35% isn't bad, though.
