What I was stating is the fact that the MARKET value of the 13' M3 will take a disproportional drop due to the emergence of the F80 M3, not what it's value is to YOU. Yes, the current M3 is worth a lot to many of us on this forum but that doesn't mean it will fare as well in the general market place.

...I am STILL trying to figure out why ppl are saying the 2013 model did not get anything new. I just ordered my 2013 E93 with Piano Black trim and this DEFINETLY was not a possibility on th 2012. This is verified and order processed. Hell THAT alone made it worth the wait for me!

The sad thing about those who are buying the 13' is that as soon as you own it the new M3 comes out and cause a major drop in the value of your car you just got. And of course the press and everyone else will be hyping the new M3 like it's the best thing since sliced bread. Those who say they prefer the current car will have their resolve tested big time.

Does anyone know if Enhanced Premium Sound can be unbundled from the Premium Package and ordered standalone (with Nav) on the 2013 E92s in the US (I searched for awhile on this and did not get a definitive answer)? I have no desire for the bells and whistles of the PP nor sensors in my bumper. Many thanks.

Apologize in advance for posting this question on the wrong thread. However, I thought one of you could provide some input into a2012 M3 pricing as you have either considered 2013 M3 or purchased one. I am a newbie and this is my second post.

Can anyone provide some input if this is a good price for a 2012 M3?

Jerez Black Metallic

No, you have to get CA, PDC, etc, if you want EPS. PDC is freaking great. Yeah, the sensors aren't pretty, but I'll take those any day over a scratched bumper.

Not bad. If it's got the options you want, try to get them to come down another $1000 or so, and you've got a nice deal there.

Thanks Sam. BMW must have recently made the change bundling EPS with the Premium Package (2012 MY?). I was able to get EPS in my 2011 w/o the PP.

Yes, for MY2012 they bundled the Premium Package 2 with Convenience Package, and took away the option to order EPS as standalone.

When you buy food is it different every year? Why is it more? If you do the same job every year you dont deserve a raise? What kind of question is that LOL. Did you ever hear the term "inflation"? LOL

It's called inflation. BMW like everything else (fuel, bread, butter, milk) is not immune to inflation unfortunately.

I'm slightly confused.

I planned on ordering a ED E92 around February 2013 from a US dealer.

Is this still possible? I'm reading about dealers running out of their allotment and I'm worried!

My build:
E92 M3
Space Grey
EDC
Silver trim
Cold weather package

US MSRP: $64500 including destination and gaz guzzler tax

ED should be $4000 savings
US college program is $1000
US BMWCCA is $1000
1000 over invoice should be $3000 savings

So the total should be ~$56000?

Actually, Piano Black trim was first available in the E93 M3 in MY2012, including a full Individual Composition Package. Which was eliminated from the MY2013 E93 M3...

For MY2013, the new requirement is for $752 (Enhanced Premium Sound) to be ordered only if ZPP is ordered. $752 used to require only Nav before MY2013.

It was never a standalone option... it used to require Nav.

My suggestion is to try to order a Harman Kardon (677) system via Individual/special order. It sounds better and it is less than half the price of the 752 option.

If your dealer is sharp and can talk to the right people at BMWNA it could make it happen for you. Remember, the Harman Kardon/Logic7 system has been always available outside the USA, even with the OEM HU. So this is just a formality that somebody at BMWNA just needs to approve...

That's interesting. So it's possible to order parts of the Individual catalog as stand-alone options? So the total cost of the HK system would be ~1000?

I thought M3s came stock with the Logic7 system

$677 (HK) should be $875.

As stated before, no USA M3 has HK as an option since introduction; it has been either 676 (HiFi) standard or 752 (EPS) optional. Outside USA it is an option. You can pick and choose certain option via Individual only if approved. You need to talk to your dealer.

So this takes some dealership work to happen. I'll definitely ask about it!

And the Logic7 sounds better than the EPS?

Thanks!

Your dealer must talk with BMWNA to arrange this special order. There is at least 1 3-Series in the USA that got the EPS added as an option (no EPS is available in the USA in any 3-Series) after an Individual request from a dealer. So this type of request have been done successfully before, and this is the last model year of the M3 so BMWNA may be willing to approve special orders. Good luck...

The EPS is louder, but its DIRAC processing is not as effective in a car as the Logic7 processing, IMO.

Tech...your right, but the trim ONLY came with an IND order...I have it now with a basic AW/FR extended interior. This combo would not have been possible on a MY2012. Glad they didn't offer it bc I needed a late order to coincide with my return trip home in Dec!
