I have shipped about 10 sets of wheels or so with tires over the past several years via UPS Ground and they have been consistent the past 5+ years.

With $5000 worth of insurance and wheels/tires you are easily looking at $200-$240. Now add in another $30-$50 for supplies and worst case you will see $280-$300 for shipping for wheels/tires.

Now wheels alone you can ship USPS Priority at $39-$58 bucks a wheel + insurance. So worst case scenario you are looking at $200+ for shipping and materials is another $30-$50. So $300 for shipping is not all that crazy in reality. Sorry some of you folks think that but I just shipped a set of 19 inch Volk CE28s from Oregon to Utah and it ran me exactly $229.42 with $4000 in insurance and it ran me $46 for materials from Home Depot. So that $276 right there. But again thats with tires. The year before I shipped 19 inch Volk Time Attacks from Oregon to Georgia. Ran me $225 + $40 in shipping material.

Yeah I could have Grey Hounded them for $80 bucks but this is what I have been use too.

I'd be interested to know what labor and materials were involved in sending wheels that come already boxed up, ready to ship from the wheel mfg. and given to USPS when they come to your door on a daily basis.

^ +1.....most likely they never went to PYspeed, they were dropped shipped from VMR or who ever they get their stock from.

I had the same issues with parts coming from Japan with my turbo RX-8. Vendors would say they had the item in stock and would ship the next day....little did I know some other warehouse "had" the parts, and would ship them a few days later and the place you bought them from ratcheted up the shipping.

I shipped a set of 5 18x7.5" Volk Racing C5s via UPS earlier this year from TX to CA, and it cost me $40/wheel. When the price of fuel increased, that premium was passed along to us.

It doesn't cost $300 to ship just wheels that are already boxed up.

It's just straight up greed. I've noticed that quite a few BMW vendors charge an arm and a leg for shipping. I'm so used to free shipping to APO addresses and usually 20% off on parts. I guess they're trying to make an easy buck. Unbelievable.

For wheels/tires it easily can. I have 10 receipts to back that claim up. Fact.

For just wheels, not so much.

If you ship via UPS or FEDEX or DHL, you can easyly pay $300, we have respect to that, but not via USPS Parcel Post !!

^ Profit should be made off the product and service, but not on shipping. That should be a cost that's passed on, if not subsidized as many businesses do.

If your business model includes profitting on shipping charges, then perhaps you should let your customers have the option of arranging their own shipping.

True. Just saying with some shipping companies it is quite common to see $200-$300 in shipping.

Everytime I tried to use USPS with wheels/tires they refused to ship so never have used them for both.

When I shipped ADVANS in boxes with just wheels only it was cheap via Priority with USPS.

I stated before on here that I got a quote from BavarianX on the Miro 111 with tires shipped to me for $280 Priority and from **********s Parcel $180 for the wheels alone. I know Vendors are here to make profit but don't try to make a profit on the shipping charges. What bothers me the most is that PYspeed took advantage of me on the shipping but this is why I refused to take the $100 refund offered to me because is about principles and good relations. The $100 or more like the $300 will not make me any richer or poorer they can keep it and enjoy it because it will be the last penny they make on profit from me.

+1 - pathetic, especially when they take advantage of someone that's serving/protecting our country! I've emailed a link to this thread to several people...

Please don't misrepresent PYSpeed's integrity.

A company has the right to charge any amount for any item. We choose to provide people very low prices on all of our products and this is just one of the reasons why people have purchased multiple items from us. It is the consumer that has to make the decision to purchase the item or service. And you sir had decided to make the purchase and gave us permission to charge your credit card for the amount agreed. Our goal is to provide all our customers an enjoyable experience. We are always looking to improve. We would like your input on ways we can improve our customer service. Please let us know.

You'll need to multiply by 4 since the quote is only one wheel.
300, reasonable or overcharging? Not sure but the pics speaks for itself.

There is a huge difference between these two! PYspeed, can you explain? I vouch for my fellow service member because I am APO as well and now I will be checking if i was ripped off by vendors. This is insane!!!

Looks like this vendor really has a lot of bad press going for it lately. Between poorly fitting Arkym and shipping shenaningans, it is a wonder people are still ordering stuff from them.

After all I'm going to give credit to Sean for messaging me just today to apologize for the inconvenience I have experienced and trying to reestablish a customer relation. I'm stunt to see that someone else in the company has taken the initiative to apologize for another sales agent bad service while the one that should have apologized is Bobby.

Forgot to mention that I did ordered a set of black padles shifters a few days after I ordered the wheels but it was thru Sean and got them delivered in 7 days. Thanks Sean.
