BMWCCA Track Day at Harris Hill 3/19

CCA members get a discount but all are welcome for a great track day with lunch included.
Harris Hill is in San Marcos, convenient to Austin and SA and is a fun track.

I wish I could be there but my wife is going to be out of town and I doubt they'd let me do the event with my son strapped into a car seat in the back :-)
I hope the turnout is good or it may be the last time Tejas Chapter tries to put on a driving event. The up-front cost to rent the track is not cheap and alot of volunteer time goes into it. So far with only 24 drivers signed up it looks like there'll be plenty of space on track :-/

They did not end up with enough students to cover costs, I think there were around 36 students and 19 instructors. Weather was great. No drama. From my perspective it went smoothly and seemed well organized, especially for a first event.

Only disappointment I had was a couple knuckle heads in the advanced group trying to win the DE not wanting to give passing signals.

^No, they were going very slow with no desire to let anyone by. I got sick of one guy and without thinking passed him in the wrong area. This got me black flagged

jml, was your car the e90 with the ZCP wheels?

So you were in the instructor class. I've got some shots of you mixing it up with Chris that I'll post up a little later.

What was chris driving? The black miata?

That was my first time at H2R, first run session was interesting - had to learn something before I jump in a student's car.

Yup, that's it with the red Hill Country PCA decepticon sticker on the windshield.

Thanks for the pics!

Edit: Interesting difference in roll between EDC and non EDC

^I see, very much 'flat out'.

I had a bit of a tank slapper during my second to last session.
