If the side mirror was open, maybe (long shot) some drunken douchebag stumbled on your car and broke it.

Since your mirror was closed, the said douchebag went "all-in" to prove his worthless place in society.

OP, sorry to see that happen. This was no accident. Karma will eventually catch up with the douche that did that.

From all appearances your car looks pretty stock with the exception of the MFEST banner on the windshield. I can't help but wonder if that was a factor at all.

i removed that sticker today. was getting too much attention.

still pissed and angry! looking almost $700-800 for the mirror. worst part i have a 500deductable

Sorry to hear.

Not hard. Pop off the part inside where the tweeter is, and there is a bolt and a wire. Unbolt, and bolt on the new one. Not sure where the clip for the wire is, hopefully this guy didn't rip the clip right off with the mirror...

Any I hope you don't have to park out there every day...
