Looking at how planted you are, I think you can launch higher. I'm assuming you were around 3500-4000 RPMs

With as much power as OP is running, I think it would be extremely difficult to do any better than he has done. I have seen a few DCT S/C M3's try to launch at the strip including another shop car ESS 625s with 17's and big slicks and a hired drivers and I've seen an ESS VT3 with DRs and a line lock and trust me it is incredibly difficult as there is a fine line between getting enough heat in the tires and causing the DCT to limp.

I remember Lee Rutter ripping off a 1.74 60 ft. time with OEM tires on a E46m3 manual.
I saw a guy on mustang6.com rip off a 1.54 60 ft tome with slicks with a S/C S550 Mustang. Maybe thats as hard as you can leave with the DCT. |

There's are limited number of M3's with the Dodson clutches and from what I understand, already a case on the East Coast on a Stage 2 blower car (8psi) where the clutches gave out.

It's pretty tough to compare those cars with a DCT car....completely different animals. It'll take some experimenting but it can get lower I'm sure. I still need to play with air pressures and suspension. I did a 1.70 my first pass in the car in 40 degree weather and it was spinning. LOW 10's will be put down this fall.

The skinnies will help your 60ft. time, letting the weight shift to the rear a little quicker providing you can leave a little harder.
I'd love to see a run with the Volks on the car and with street rubber.. Dave

Yes your right, I forgot about that...I do know he told me clutches weren't the issue.

2nd gear. I'm pretty sure it wasn't clutch related other than the fact that they work too well.
