that's what i thought...okay, Gen 2 is officially the other way around then. This is weird. Maybe somebody wired my wheel wrong or upside down.

I think folks in the USA will be getting their cars very soon so they will be able to check for you.
Seems a bit odd .... I think its either a s/w issue, or wiring problem. |

idrive manual pics
these pics probably aren't worth a damn because they are going to be hard to read via this thread, but i figured i'd put some pics up of the introductory manual for the new idrive. comes in the M booklet with the users and service manuals. enjoy...

Ew I don't like the new head rests. I saw some M coupe seats the other day at the dealer. Now why couldn't we have gotten those?

Wow, this thread brings me back. I took Euro delivery on my first M3. The car was waiting for me on the showroom floor with one mile on the odometer.
Unfortunaltely, I had to buy the current M3 locally and it just isn't the same experience. There's nothing like breaking a BMW in on the German highways and taking the back counntry roads once it's fully broken in. Allen |

Not to hijack the thread, but since it adresses military sales with an 09MY delivery...
Did you have to pay the gas guzzler tax when you picked it up the coupe? My SA in Graf was not sure, but did not recall his previous M3 customers noting this. Just curious....we have over another 3 years here, so it may get me at some point! |

Things still going great
Gents,
Just wanted to come back to say that things are going great with the car. I'm at about 2500km now and it is running like a dream. I've done a few minor mods: GP Thunder 7500k, PIAA Superwhite H3s, Nonsmoker conversion, and had the reflectors filled. Here are a few pics that I snapped yesterday in my area. More to come soon now that I finally got my tripod! |
