Is an M3 Badass enough?
I am just curious what most of you think.
I love the java green and the dakar, fire orange etc. But is the M3 really a car that pulls these colors off for a daily dirven car? I mean a gt3RS, Lambo , ferrari, etc are all cars that can definatly pull these colors off with ease. they are usually weekend cars though. So as a daily driver does the M3 do it? I would love to have one of these colors but I would not be able to drive that everyday, I would feel weird. what do you think?

The M3 absolutely deserves to have its presence known. It is a benchmark car. With that said i dont think i could live with a crazy color like that for a daily driver would feel obnoxious.

Yeah I totally agree. Maybe once in a while, but for my personal taste I would feel like the car would look to obnoxious as well as gather too much attention, which unfortunately is not always a good thing nowadays. Ive always had darker colored cars such as dark blue and black, and with my mineral white E92, at times I feel it gets to much attention albiet no where close to what the above colors would get.

On limited runs - e.g. M3-GTS or highly modded I think it's acceptable. Seen some nicely done 'Lamo-esque' colored M3s on this board, ie, lime green, orange, yellow.

I would say no. The M3 is on the edge of super car-ness but it can not pull of extreme colors like a lambo can.
I actually have a motorcycle in a Java Green type of color but I would never order the M3 in that color. It just doesnt work. I think that the M3 in crazy colors just looks very "ricey". Look at the fact that even RED is one of the least sold colors in the M3.

I think the E46 and E36 look pretty good in flashier colors but definitely not the E9X. Even worse, not the E90.
I think the M3 is understated and subtle yet aggressive. I like all of the regular colors offered which compliment the car. IMO, the only missing standard color is Monte Carlo Blue...should have been standard.

The car looks badass in any color because of it's stance/flares/etc.
they're obnoxious colors, and easy to spot in traffic (= popos will easily see yous). AND you will get tired of these skittles colors. Before I got my Exige, i went back and forth between orange, kermit lime green and candy blue. I settled on dark grey (my initial choice) and I'm glad i did. Makes the car look more expensive and just looks badass. So think carefully!!! And if you sell, might be harder to sell it. |

Here we go again with calling the M3 a supercar. With that said, the M3 looks sexy in LSB, and Le Mans Blue. What I LOVE is how well the M3 blendes in with the crowd..but put your foot down and it becomes a monster.

First of all, the M IS badass enough for these colors. I see all kinds of crazy colors on more average cars. 350Z, Camaro, Chargers and tons of other cars have some pretty wild color options.
415 horse M3 is not exactly boring daily driver. It's a pretty ridiculous car. Maybe not a GT3, Lambo, or Ferrari. But def not your average daily driver.

I think it can pull off some of them. Fire orange and Dakar for me are a bit too much for dd. But if you set it up as a sick race car then it can look amazing.
