iPhone 5 help please

Did a search but nothing came up that's helped.

I used a new cable for my iPhone5 but it still can not play music. It charges fine.

What am I missing?

Do I need some kind of update on my M3 firmware?

I have 2009 E92 M3. The car does not have Bluetooth.

I'm having some issues as well - car has Bluetooth but won't download phonebook.

U dont have a combox...use the y cable with apple 30 pin adapter

Or get a lightning y cable

Does BMW make an OEM Y-cable? I've heard that the aftermarket Y-cables are somewhat unreliable.

I meant to say OEM y-cable with lightening connection. I guess you could use an adapter. Still, I haven't seen an OEM lightening y-cable

Picked up the "Y" adaptor from my dealer and the adaptor to iphone5 from Best Buy. The sound is pretty good. I have the premium sound system but it still needs a bit more thump on the low end. I'll fix that though.

I have a 09 M3. But still after reading a few threads I'm unsure of how to add OEM Bluetooth and a backup camera that works with the CIC/Nav screen. Is the cabling all present?

You need a combox retrofit. Hit up bpm for that
