Not an M3 but my little 128i is in good company on the Aegean Highway, hoping it gets to port soon

Well it's too bad because it looks like the Aegean was lost at sea. Doubtful they were able to recover any of the cars before it went down.

Not to worry for those on Aegean Highway! Just googled the ship and marinetraffic.com updated it's position. It was about 4-5 miles off the coast of virginia beach. WOO HOO, I guess it made it through the storm after all...and no it didn't sink..haha.

Finally! 800 number says "in transit" after 10 days at the port.

Any idea what ship bound for the west coast that would be?

I'm not able to track my car on W&W's website- it's not listed there. My CA does not give me any information, and if I press him to provide me with some info, he just gives out some BS.

BMWUSA's website says my car is "enroute" and the phone system says it is in transit.

Do cars for Texas dealers use K-Line, or some other ship? Is there a way to track it? Thanks guys!

I'm also in Houston and have been trying to track mine with bits and pieces of info. I'm assuming at this point that it's on the Aegean because it is the only ship that matched up with the timing but I'm not sure. I also don't know where it will offload (brunswick, galvestin?). What dealer did you order through?

Could be either K Line or WW. Even though K Line ships stop in Galveston, I think all cars are off loaded on the East Coast then trucked to dealer. That's what my New Orleans bound car did...

The Aegean Highway has left Baltimore. Pretty quick turnaround. Heading to Brunswick.

(I'm compulsively tracking my car... can't seem to help it. Even looked for webcams that might catch the ship coming and going from Baltimore.)

ETA in Brunswick is now midnight Friday EST (or 4 AM UTC). So the cars should be off-loaded by 2 PM on Saturday.

Ugh I talked to my CA and he says the vehicle is NOT assigned to a boat, even though the 800 number is telling me it's "in transit". What the hell?!

I do have a VIN though, where can I look it up for west coast deliveries?

Mine said it was in transing since the day I picked it up during my ED (Sept 27th). So don't take that seriously. The car also didn't go on two ships and finally ended up on the Elektra on Oct. 13th.

If it says in transit it could mean it's on a train headed to the port, waiting at the port, and etc. It doesn't mean that it's on the ship.

To further complicate things BMWUSA shows my car as "Awaiting Transportation." when it is clearly on the Elektra.

More than likely you will be on the next ship - "Dream Diva".

You can try putting the VIN in as Cargo on the WW site to see if it is listed. But sometimes WW doesn't update that info... it is hit and miss. If it is on a K-Line ship you won't be able to determine anything using the VIN. You're basically at the mercy of your CA for information. I'm pretty certain the dealer's more detailed information tells them the boat it is on... that's how most of us have confirmed ours.

This is incredibly frustrating. Not the waiting part, I can handle that, but the uncertainty of it. I'd rather have my car arrive a little later but know exactly when it was arriving, rather than go through this bullshit of phone numbers, websites, and CAs giving completely incorrect and inconsistent information.

The Aegean Highway got through Baltimore fast! It arrived at 5AM and was sailing this afternoon to Brunswick, very speedy. Brunswick is the end of the marine trip for Florida cars, I'm getting super psyched!

When mine was at that stage, the 800 number said "in transit to the port of exit"...so it was on it's way from factory to Bremerhaven.
From there it'll be at the port awaiting transportation.
The stage you confused it with is "enroute" not "in transit". Enroute is when it's on the boat.

Oh I see. The Vehicle Inquiry Report says my destination port is Brunswick, GA.

Oh well, better just wait for the dealer to call me to pick up the car.... this is driving me nuts.

In that case it's gone from being "at the port of exit" back to "in transit" twice now. It was supposedly "at the port" on 10/4, then on 10/8 it switched back to "awaiting transport to the port of exit" and back to "at the port" a day or two later. Now it's "in transit" which is the first time I've heard that. It doesn't make any sense.

At least now I know I'm waiting for "en route".

That does sound confusing. Have you tried your CA recently? Mine knew a lot more than the phone #, website, and the BMWNA phone rep (sometimes a phone check would send me direct to a person vs automated). She just didn't volunteer the information...I had to pester her frequently.
