I'd thought the M6 wheels would look stunning on the M3 (they looked pretty beastly on 335s, and even E46s). Looking back, I don't think they compare to the stock 19s, and certainly not to some of the 360forged and HRE wheels some of the guys have.
Secondly, my CA gave me a nice little shpeel about why he thinks the idea of putting the M6 wheels on the M3 should never even be considered. Basically, he went in to how the M3 wheels are engineered for the M3, M6 for the M6, etc, etc, weight, blaaaah. Yes, all things to consider, but in the end I don't think it would make much of a difference. He also hinted that BMW would probably be releasing some aftermarket alternatives to the 19" wheels, specifically designed for use on the M3 - fact or fiction, I obviously don't have a clue. Those black Breytons are hawt too! |

your CA knows what he is talking about. there is more to just how it looks. offsets, weights, and dimensions have a big influence on steering control and ride. it isn't just as simple as finding a wheel that looks like it fits. the "black breytons" are the GTS Race and, yes, they are hot. |

I'm one of the few that likes how the oem M6 wheels look on an e9x M3. In fact, I almost bought the Time Attack version for my Melbourne Red Metallic...but I chose Volk TE37 Time Attacks instead. My main concern w/these reps is that they're cast-aluminum (instead of forged aluminum). Here's what they look like for reference:

Personally not for me. I love my 220s and if I do get a new set of wheels it will be a set of TE 37s for the track
