Yes. We were stranded there. They came with the rescue boats, but we refused to go. We've had gas, wine and plenty of steaks in the freezer. did not want to let them go to waste.

Actually, Jeep was in the water up to the windows for three days. It started leaking oil all over that river after a couple of hours. No, that off road warrior did not start and was taken away on a flat bed just like my bimmers.

This happened to me once. Not as bad, but cars are never the same after that. Even if they can be salvaged.

Sorry about the damages. How did the house fair and what's the prognosis? I think that'll add up to a bigger headache and expense than the cars.

Sorry to hear about your losses. Dealing with insurance sucks, but at least, you're getting a new M.

Actually, cars was my biggest loss. It is a townhouse that is made out of concrete and metal and survived without big problems. there are 16 of them and there were 13 cars that were totaled. Obviously 3 of them were mine.
water started rising at about 4 in the morning and was over the car roofs in about 15 minutes. we were not ready. i was thinking of driving my m3 out but as soon as open the garage door i could not see the tires. interestingly enough i had a set of winter tires for the 1-series that floated away. they were heavy but i guess not too heavy for the river.
