If he could put them in individual boxes and then pack all those into one box, I don't mind shipping them out using UPS couriers from work or people could collect from me (Midlands)

We need a definitive list of buyers with style, colour and then their location in the UK - shall I start:

Paul - M3FAST - Gloss Black Luma with protection film applied - Stafford, Midlands

I don't mind co-ordinating this and doing a group buy - here is a price lay out from the vendor, although the prices he has PM'd me are higher than the $350 initially given to chrisburns which is disappointing Maybe something can be done nearer purchase time.

Luma 1x1 CF $460 (£307)
Luma paint (Matte or gloss) $420 (£280)
VRS 1x1 CF $360 (£240)
AC 1x1 CF 360 (£240)
Mirror cover replacment $175 (£116)
clearbra service its $120 (£80)

Shipping is approx $350 for a single lip (££far too expensive!!) but $700 (£467) for up to 7 lips which brings it down to a reasonable £77 each if we can get half a dozen of us that are definites. The only thing that worries me is if we get stung for customs charges/vat as that could add on another 17.5% minimum?

VRS 1x1 CF $360 (£240)

Whats the story with this? Is it a carbon VRS style replica, or a plastic one wrapped with carbon?

Hi Don, not wanting to sound rude here, but I have had one vendor offer to ship a full set of alloys to the UK for $366. By my estimation, the volume and the weight of the lips (the means by which most couriers price their service), even several of them, shouldn't even be close to a set of wheels. $700 does sound a little steep?

They won't be carbon, probably a mix of both f/glass or plastic so the weight will be heavier, though I agree the shipping does seem a little excessive, but there are a few items there so maybe not.

I'm not meaning to sound argumentative here, nor do I want to slow this process up now Paul has offered to try and get things moving, so please don't misinterpret this, I just want to have $700worth of shipping costs justified to me before we shell out. Split between 6 people I know the shipping charge is tolerable and if I had nothing to compare with I wouldn't question it. But given it is by all accounts excessive for a single parcel going to a single destination, I'd just like to know how it is calculated.

My argument is based around the fact that my rear diffuser weighs around a pound, 2 max, I assume a similar weight for the front lip, even if they were 3lbs that is still a total of under 20lbs for 6 lips (if they are more than 3lbs then then it isn't made of CF or even f'glass!). 4 rims weigh around 100lbs. That isn't even close on the weight front. Total packing volume should be smaller too. The maths doesn't stack up for the shipping that's all. Unless my wheel charge was mistakenly calculated...

(sorry! )

Could be right Richbe as my Challenge rear diffuser is costing me $270 shipping and that's a full carbon unit!

Don / Paul, If you can do a matt black mirror replacement cover put me down for a set. Are they a direct replacement or the thin overlay type?

Also how much would postage be on these as they would obviously not be the same as the lips?

Thanks

Marcus

Paul, stick me on the list for the 1x1 cf vrs with clearbra. Also could you tell me if there is a vrs 2 style diffuser, also cf. And could one be sent in the same parcel, as well as the price? Thanks

ps. I've had an offer to have a set of wheels shipped from California for $375. Also, I've heard that if the parcel is shipped as used items, or a gift then we could avoid the customs charges?

Hey Guys,
I know you guys are wondering about the shipping cost , but since the lips are fairly long, we need an over sized box.

We spoke with several shipping companies and even though that the lips only weigh less than 25lbs. The shippers go by box size.

Single box size is 69/x22/5inch weight 9lb

roughly 350-400usd to UK,

Box of 5 its 70x23x20 roughly 800 usd

If we go any bigger then that, shipping cost can easily run $1800-2000usd

We are not making any money from the shipping cost. If any of you guys can get us better pricing or have a shipping company for us to use, then we will be happy to oblige. Currently this pricing is from Fed Ex.
Thanks

Don
