Throttle Actuator Warranty for Oregon?
My 2011 E90 has started to generate codes for bad throttle actuator and sometimes it goes into limp mode. I had read that some people have been able to get this covered under the emissions warranty, but I believe it depends on the state. I think Oregon might be under the 7/70 or 8/80 length of warranty for emissions, but I wasn't sure. If it was, my car would still be covered due to its current age and mileage.
I wasn't sure if it made sense for me to go to the dealer since they want to charge my $160 to diagnose it before they will tell me anything about if its covered by any warranty. Does anyone have any idea regarding Oregon emissions warranty or if a throttle actuator would be covered? Thanks in advance for any guidance. |

From the 2011 M3 Manual: California Emission Warranty Parts List The following components are covered for defects by the California Emission Control System Limited Warranty for a period of 7 years or 70,000 miles, whichever comes first: Throttle Actuator Last edited by buddalun; 10-05-2017 at 07:07 PM.. |
