mine has been killing me

I've taken it in 3 times, and each time they get rid of it (by putting felt tape or lubing the top)

but a new spot comes up..

I'm going to go in a week or so when I get time

i think the rattles are common on all cars... im driving a 2011 camry right now and something rattles on the inside not sure what...

i have driven a 2011 c350 and that thing too rattles.

so i dont know people get and some people dont...

no matter what cars you will be driving rattles will always be there.

It would be interesting to note what type of suspension setting people have used in this thread to see if there is any correlation to amount of rattling. Without EDC, you'd obviously be in normal, but as for with EDC, the sport setting is a lot "rougher" than comfort or even normal, in my opinion. Maybe that contributes to earlier onset of rattles? Just a thought...

Yes. From day one- a rattle/buzz from the driver's side door speaker. Very annoying, but I don't feel like having the whole door disassembled to try and fix it. If I put the lightest pressure on the speaker grill it stops- even more annoying.

There's your fix! Somehow you need to apply more pressure. I would say put a piece of tape over it, but this is an M3 we're talking about..

Yes . Well from day one I thought edc in sport mode was cool so drove with it on for first 1-2k miles....then after hearing all the rattles, I toned it down to comfort mode but it was too late. My previous car had coils and very stiff. The m feels even stiffer than that car and both had these rattles from bobbing up and down on crap LA roads.

Somehow I feel that the 19s, slight lowering, and stiffness of ride is the culprit...my 2011 328i rattles a fraction of what the M does and it's suspension is softer and tires have wider profile 17s...

the nav rattle is driving me nuts! i'm thinking of taking it into the dealer to have it checked out.

they did fix my driver's side mirror, added felt and it it fixed it.

I have mine in Comfort and still hear the rattles

Strange... last I checked that's completely normal and by design...

My 335i with suspension mods (sway bars, strut, coils on stiffest setting, low) was definitely more stiff than the m3 even in sport+.
But it also killed my back and I couldn't drive it for more than 45 minutes without having back pains (I have a small hair line crack in my back...)

With the M, i can be in comfort and it feels as if I'm driving on air and I love it
then sport+ and it's fun and great (crappy in parking lots though lol)

But I do hate the rattles

I met more in general what mode you've been driving around in for a majority of your time of ownership, i.e. sport since day 1? or Comfort a majority of the time. I started at Normal but now have it on Sport always. If you've always had it on comfort and have rattles then I guess I won't worry that sport will be the cause of my rattles down the road.

Most of my daily is done in comfort due to my back

I put it in sport when i want to take a turn harder than normal, or if I go a little fast on the high way.

or if one of my hands is busy (usually with my phone, yeah yah i know, shush), making it stiffer it's easier to control

but usually in comfort

Well I guess i'll just keep telling myself that rattles would develop either way and drive it like a maniac in sport. My wife doesn't ride in the car anymore because I make her car sick with the way I drive...

Well I've mentioned the really annoying sort of ringing / zing (like a gentle hit on a cymbal) that comes from my drivers door (rhd). Dealer tried twice - taping things up - no joy. So today I removed the door panel and the thing underneath it that's stuck on with a sealant to get to the inside of the door. What did I find? Nothing. The noise continued with all this stuff removed (though strangely worse with the inner panel thingy on). Totally hacked off as I am no nearer to a resolution. I'm wondering now if it is caused by some air flow issue. Maybe I'll try lubing the seals.
