Rear Mesh Grill Cover-Free Idea for vendors

Someone needs to make a solid rear grill cover for that little mesh area right above the exhaust to hide the view of exhaust system componets and the silver under body covering. I know I could paint the exhaust and under body but a nice 1x1 carbon cover would be nice and clean!

I could see melted rear bumpers if that area was closed off.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I thought it may be there for heat from the exhaust but, as more people go to after market most of those are two muffler setups which i think will cool eaiser that the stock single unit.

I'm getting my exhaust satin-black ceramic coated for this reason. Should be about $250. That opening is functional...I would not close it off.

Are you coating the stock exhaust? That would look good behind the back grill but the after market ones dont fill the center of that space and all you see is the silver under body lining and exhaust hangers. I like the stainless exhaust parts showing its all of the other stuff I dont want to see. Do you think its just for heat or could it have something to do with airflow under the body as well?

I'm doing the stock exhaust.

Roger that on the aftermarket vs. stock. You could have the heatshields coated, or sprayed as well - something to consider.

I think it is for airflow; doubt it is for heat...but I'm sure it does remove heat from that area.

I think it looks good the way it is. Too many people bach the way the exhaust looks from behind but it really isn't that bad.

I like the whole black painted exhaust idea though.

Cheers!

I painted the rear can portion of the exhaust matte black, it actually works very well and you can't see the over hang anymore.
