Do a search. You're not the first to buy an extended warranty.

If you can DIY yourself not worth buying. If you want piece of mind then I would buy it. The E90/92/93 M3s have really had no issues at all. One of the most expensive pieces on your car if not the most expensive is going to be that DCT Tranny.

Yes, I did, but mine is for a e60 M5. Was worth it to me. Every person's situation is different though. Like Pat said, if you DIY, then extended maintenance isn't worth it.

Do a search on this forum, there are plenty of threads about it.

I bought an extended because my car was out of warranty and I have no idea what the previous owner did to the car other than maintainence records but I didn't know the driving style. I did have a PPI and it was clean and the carfax was clean but I wanted some peace of mind.

I was quoted $ 5,100 for 3 years for BMW warranty. I don't think I will do it....

Depends on the dealer selling it. I bargained mine down from the original quote.

Now I am thinking of returning the extended warranty as everything is fine with the car.

I bought an EasyCare (one of the more reputable extended warranties) for my M3 prior to the factory wearing off. It was the 'Totalcare' package which pretty much covers everything. It does include a $250 deductible but I figured anything I was going to make a claim on would be way more than that.

I paid $3000 and some change for 3 years and up to 85000 miles. It is transferrable to a new owner and/or you can return it to EasyCare for a prorated refund up to a certain point.
