This is a little tricky.
ALL E90,92,93 M3's roll out of the Regensburg factory with 90AH 900A batteries installed. (stock OE specification) Now here is where it gets tricky... If your battery dies completely, or becomes discharged in such a manner that it can no longer hold a charge...the dealer will replace it under warranty. The thing is...BMW has contracts with 2 different U.S.-based battery companies. So the replacement batteries at the dealerships will range from 70AH/570A to 90AH/720A batteries that are on hand. This varies from dealership to dealership. Why? Because BMW is footing the bill under the new vehicle warranty, so they buy the slightly smaller batteries that are cheaper per unit than the 90AH/900A OE factory spec'd battery. The point is, you will never get exactly the same size battery as the car originally had when it was first built.
