Yes, FI is looking very good. Especially a stage 1. Seems to be the best balance between performance and reliability for me. I don't feel a need for 600 HP yet.

oh so true. But I become worried about the DCT transmission...I love it (this is my first paddle shifter) but I would definitely need/want to start looking into strengthening it if I go further down this road to power haha.

At what point is it necessary to upgrade the DCT? I noticed in this build I linked they did it. How much does something like that cost from ESS? I'm basically trying to decide now how far I want to go! lol *I have a 2008 so I assume I must worry about the main-bearing as well* Last edited by Chemicals; 04-04-2012 at 05:39 AM.. |

What strikes me is that with Dinans setup you are basically paying for a complete engine when you don't need to. I was curious what it would run if you rolled into Gintani (for instance) and had them pull the motor and stroke it. Got to be a lot less and more comparable to supercharging in price. Whether it would be preferable is a can of worms but at least you would have a more level playing field (I think) on cost.

Well. Damnit. I guess I have no reason to not get a stage 1 now.
