e93 third brake light delete?

Thinking of a cleaner look for the rear of the car, has anyone heard of a third brake light "delete" option. It would be great if vendors offered a paint matched "cover" that you could use to swap out the light on the trunk and make it look more flush. has anyone attempted this and if so do you have pictures?

Other than the fact that I think it'll look ugly and...strange... plus unsafe... it is illegal. You need to have the middle brake light

Throw in the fact that your coming from California where they seem to be big on writing a lot of mod related tickets this could be a frequent traffic stop for you.

regardless what was stated above,
an e93 brake light is only $90 bucks, so if you want to try it go for it,
not that big a deal if you get a ticket.
why dont you just vinyl wrap it,
the light may show through
or if you have a black car just heavy tint it and the light will show through.
