I wouldn't get the double hump just for looks. If you want all of the features that come with it then get it. I have the single hump and don't regret it.

My M3 has the hump and my MB has no hump the screen pops up when I need it or I can hide it so there is no hump.
I voted I don't care. Having said that I don't like the idea of the new 3 series where the screen is always in your face, I would have liked it better if it was retractable like on the Benz.

That second hump = .
But, given I don't have an M3, I would be happy if I had one with only a single-hump as well

I think the fake-pop-up screen on the F30 looks better than the double hump in our E9x cars. You get better visibility and the dash doesn't look as crowded or tall.

Bingo! Two humps are better than one, in many ways.

If you're planning to keep 3 - 7 years,
get one with nav. It'll be very functional. If you're planning to keep 10+ years, get one without nav since your nav is gonna be so outdates/old school look like car phones back in the days.

I will admit I'm not crazy about the the two humps on my E90 either, but I gotta have the gadgets... I think people are right in saying the two humps will show the age of the car. One hump looks much cleaner. Kinda reminds me of the dash on the SLS.

In pictures it looks odd, but in real-world use, it is practical and not as much of an eye-sore. It allows for a more "open" style dash, which is a real improvement on viability.

I love the Nav. I purchased it because of its purpose and it's helped a lot, especially in bigger cities. I think it DOES make it feel more cozy and I keep it on "night" mode all the time. Love it.

That's why mine does not have a hump/nav, I bought the car and I'm keeping it for a while. If I was leasing, I would've gotten the hump/nav option. Either way it's all good, it's an M3!! |

6MT and no Nav for my '11 M3
6MT and no Nav for my wife's '12 128i We are both very happy about our choices. My wife was a little worried at first, but after she got the car she was very happy without the nav. Too much clutter, and if you plan on keeping the car for a while it will look dated in a couple of years. Not to mention repair costs if something goes out on it. If I need nav I would rather use my phone. |

My radar detector sits nicely on a pad right at the top center of the hump.

Would never get one without Nav unless it was a track car.
Much more than just the directions itself. With combox it turns the car into a mobile entertainment race car

Get the nav/hump, unless this car is to immediately get stripped & become a dedicated track car.

The parking system is only a module that weights a few ounces, the wires that run to the sensors and the sensors themselves. This is pretty much negligible. The navi + screen is probably ten pounds. Weight of the dash is probably more than the non-navi dash. But we're talking about a pretty insignificant amount of weight here - not like a CF roof or getting an Akrapovic
