evolve carbon intake E9X M3

We finally completed out testing and development on this intake and fitted the first production model this weekend.

Video - sounds much better in the flesh but you get the idea.

I will make a post in the sponsors section with regards to pricing and availability and set up a group buy if there is any interest. Our first batch have all gone to existing evolve customers here in the UK.

Very nice indeed, but how come your product looks so much alike to the Gruppe-M piece? Last question, aren't you the same guys with Volvo? If so, welcome.

nice, but i would assume the gains decrease significantly if the car already has a highflow exhaust?

Last edited by niqui; 08-10-2009 at 11:49 AM.. Reason: i meant aftermarket filter also....

It is a very different design to the GruppeM underneath.

You are absolutely correct. We tested the intake system with a full Akrapovic system on M3poster Donbona's M3 and it made an additional 5 BHP. I will post up to dyno graphs shortly.

Edited to add: Donbona's car already had a BMC drop in filter.

I have not tested this but would expect so. The BMC filter makes about 3 BHP over a stock filter on a stock M3.

This intake makes a wonderful noise though.

RRP will be £868 GBP (plus 15% VAT for those in the EU). Our next batch will be available early September. We will post a group buy or an introductory price on the sponsor section later today.

Truer words cannot have been spoken.

Thanks for going the extra mile to provide real data rather than simply throwing out a product and expecting the forums to beta-test for you.

Looking forward to more info on the product. Im guessing you don't want to give us more details at this point?
Nice work.
I was thinking of actually getting the Dinan intake, but I will wait and see how this project turns out.

That looks amazing! My only concerns is, when looking at the graph, it looks like you lose power and torque slightly between 3K and 6K. That whould ba ashame, as that is a very important rev range for daily driving.

Oops. My apologies. I think I got the colors mixed up. Looks like a smooth increase across the rev range.
