I love how the state can restrict what you do with YOUR property. Who pays for the depreciation on the vehicle interior when exposed to sunlight?

So if I go get my car inspected and I have tints, I'll fail? I'm about to bring my car to a dealer to get inspection done...

That's what it sounds like. I'm going to ask some of the inspection stations around here to see if they're actually doing it yet

I got mine done this month so I have a year to figure out what to do... I'll register my car in Florida if need be ?

This is all from those few incidents where cops get blasted at traffic stops, not we all have to pay for it.

I wish that was the reason. It isn't...... $$$$$
If tints were that dangerous then our dear governor would have the tints on his SUV's removed.

I confirmed with my dealer, this is going into affect 1/1/17. Luckily my inspection is due end of this month so I'll be waived. But for next year I'm going to have to remove it, it seems.

Maybe indy shops will pass you.

Lowering a car is suppose to fail inspection also. I seriously doubt a local mom and pop shop will fail for tint... maybe if it was 5%
