Liqui-Moly Anti-Friction Treatment (MOS2) and Cera Tec
Has anyone used this anti-friction additive shortly after an oil-change?
Just did my second change with LM 10w60 GT1 after a 5000 mile interval with LM 10w60 and saw this bottle at the shop. Did a quick search but haven't seen much on it, as it relates to use in the S65. Been using LM on my last 4 euros (BMW and MB) and have experienced great things, so a little curious as to it's 'pros'. MOS2 - Anti-friction Cera Tec Also wondering if it can be used shortly after an oil change, or if it needs to be added during a change. CM

You can use it anytime, but don't get your hopes up on it doing much in terms of friction and/or bearing wear reduction in this car.

The better question to ask is, "what is it about my current oil fill that proves I need to add this other chemical?"

MoS2 is the only additive I trust. Quieter running, better UOA wear indicators, improved piston ring sealing for less blowby/ oil consumption, bonds a sacrificial nanolubricating semifullerene structure to most sliding surfaces that makes oil film strength practically irrelevant for startup wear. |

I just started using Liqui Moly Ceratec with my M3. Did an oil change when i put in the Ceratec around 3,000km ago, already had to top up 1 litre of oil... my M3 burns quite a bit and im starting to be concerned =/ no leaks or anything, just burns.
Ceratec seems to work quite well on my other vehicles but is not noticable with the M3. My Family Van and my old Merc seems to have smoothed out quite a bit (i didnt change to oil, just poured ceratec in). Was quite noticable by myself and my family which i didnt tell them i added the additive. Will be doing a UOA on the oil with the ceratec around November time, by then i should have approx 7-8,000km on the oil. I usually never go for extended OCI, usually keep it under 10,000km per oil change.
